Audrey Handelman is a Studio Director, Senior Associate, Director of Design Resilience, and Regional Community Impact Leader with Gensler – the world’s largest architecture and design firm. She is an experienced architect, designer, and leader on projects ranging from retail to hospitality to performing arts to adaptive re-use office space. Her strengths lie in being an inclusive leader, maintaining strong client and colleague relationships, and creating dynamic and relevant designs that are conscious of their impact on many scales – from the end user to the community to the environment. She is a California licensed architect and LEED BD+C accredited. She is passionate about mentorship and community engagement and is currently working on aligning Gensler’s six regional offices’ volunteerism and pro-bono work, as well as building opportunities for work with foundations, organizations, and associations. She also volunteers her time as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster youth and is on their Board of Directors as Secretary and Chair of the Legislative Advocacy Committee. Audrey was a member of the inaugural cohort of Coro Lead LA 2018/19.
