Naomi Fink is a high-profile economist, and currently serves as a retirement economist at Capital Group, Chairperson of EBRI’s Retirement Security Research Center, and CEO of Europacifica Consulting. Naomi has 25 years of financial industry experience. At Capital Group, Naomi leads research on retirement-related topics for the institutional market, including savings, investment, income, demographics, and health. In April 2022, Naomi assumed the role of Chairperson of EBRI’s Retirement Security Research Center. Before joining Capital Group in 2016, Ms. Fink founded Europacifica Consulting, a global economics and strategy consulting firm. Prior to founding Europacifica, Naomi held the position of chief Japan strategist and Senior Vice President at Jefferies Japan Limited. Before that, Ms. Fink held chief strategist roles across a variety of markets and asset classes at global banks, including Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ and BNP Paribas. Ms. Fink holds an MSc in Specialized Economic Analysis (Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets) from Barcelona GSE, an M.A. Honours from the University of St. Andrews, and was nominated to the Japan Society of Monetary Economics in 2014. Ms. Fink also is an FRM charter-holder a fellow of Coro’s Women in Leadership program and a Board member of National Association of Business Economics (LA Chapter). Naomi is based in Los Angeles. Naomi is fluent in Japanese, French and Spanish.
