Carson Bruno is Vice President of Growth, overseeing Coro’s growth strategy. Working alongside the rest of the Coro team, Carson seeks to ensure Coro’s wide-range of in-house programs have diverse, engaged cohorts ready to enhance their and each others’ leadership capacity, collaborates with the broader, regional Coro community to build meaningful relationships to provide professional development training via the Coro X practice, and represents Coro regionally to raise awareness of its programming and offerings, in order to further grow the dynamic Coro family.
Previously, Carson served as Senior Director of Training and Programs at Coro, overseeing and facilitating the Coro Lead Programs (Lead LA + Lead SoCal), many of the Coro X collaboratives, and the Workforce Leadership Network.
Carson came to Coro with an extensive cross-sectoral background. He is the former Assistant Dean for Program Relations, Admissions, and Program Services of the Pepperdine School of Public Policy, also serving as Adjunct Faculty specializing in California policy solutions. Prior to Pepperdine, Carson held a Research Fellow appointment at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and structured tax-exempt and taxable municipal bond issuances as a public finance investment banker at J.P. Morgan Securities, Inc in New York City.
Carson holds a Master of Public Policy with Honors in Applied Economic Policy and American Politics and Policy from the Pepperdine School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington and Lee University’s Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics. He is an alumnus of the Coro Lead LA program and a former member of the Board of Directors for Crete Academy, a full service charter school serving South Los Angeles. Carson and his partner reside in Santa Barbara with their foxhound-beagle mix, Quinn.
