Fred Terrell

Senior Advisor at Centerbridge Partners, L.P. and Former Executive Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Credit Suisse

Fred is a Senior Advisor with Centerbridge Partners, L.P., a $30 billion multi-strategy asset management platform where he focuses on investments in the financial services and technology sectors. Prior to joining Centerbridge, he was Executive Vice Chairman of Investment Banking and Capital Markets at Credit Suisse (CS) where he was responsible for many of the Bank’s most important global banking relationships. At CS, he was a member of Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Committee, its Managing Director Promotion Committee, and the Board of Trustees of the Credit Suisse Americas Foundation. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Mortgage Finance at CS First Boston where he pioneered many innovations in the credit and securitization arenas and where he began his career as an Associate. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Provender Capital Group, LLC which made investments in emerging growth-oriented companies on behalf of major institutional investors.

Fred currently serves on the Board of Directors of BNY Mellon Corporation, Paramount Global, Vroom and Mobility Capital Finance (MoCaFi). He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) and is a member of the Investment Committee of the Rockefeller Foundation. He served as a member of the University Council of Yale University and on the Board of Advisors for the Yale School of Management. He currently serves on the Board of the Partnership Fund for New York City, Planet Word Museum and is a member of the Economic Club of New York City and Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). He received his B.A. from La Verne College, an M.A. from Occidental College, M.B.A. from Yale University and is an alumnus of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and is a former Chairman of the Coro New York Leadership Center.
