Abigail Nishimoto is currently the Director of Organizational Effectiveness at SoCalGas. After beginning her career in the nonprofit field as an operations professional, Abbey pivoted to a career in corporate Human Resources, with a focus on the Learning & Development field. She is passionate about helping organizations and their employees thrive! Whether in the healthcare, tech, or regulated utility industries, Abbey always looks for opportunities to equip leaders, strengthen culture, and shape the future. In her current role at SoCalGas, Abbey oversees organizational development strategy, training, talent management, and culture initiatives. In collaboration with leadership, she helps shape the initiatives and talent strategies that will enable SoCalGas to reach its ambitious goals as a key player in California’s climate commitment. She is also a volunteer with various mentorship programs and provides organizational development support for several local non-profit organizations. In her free time, she is a full-time taxi driver for her two kids, enjoys cooking and baking, and beating her husband in their daily Wordle competition!
