Jenna Watkinson serves the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center as director of Public Affairs and Brand Communications. In this capacity, Jenna leads communications, government relations, issues management, community relations and community health for Kaiser Permanente’s largest medical center in the Southern California Region – serving more than 330,000 Kaiser Permanente members in its service area. In addition, LAMC serves more than 4.5 million Kaiser Permanente members across Southern California thanks to its status as a tertiary and quaternary care hospital, with 23 tertiary care programs and 40 centers of expertise.

Jenna formerly served as Director of Public Affairs for Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions. In this role, her responsibilities included oversight of all communications, corporate philanthropy, government relations, employee volunteer programs, events, and the Albertsons Companies Foundation. Her territory comprised of over 350 stores and more than 36,000 employees across Southern California. Prior to joining Vons, Jenna managed Corporate Citizenship and Communications for Disney|ABC Television Group.

Jenna holds her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Studies from California State University, Los Angeles, where she taught college communication courses part-time. She continued to combine her passion for academia with her experience in the corporate workforce by serving as an adjunct instructor for colleges in Los Angeles for over a decade.

Jenna was born at Kaiser Permanente and was raised in Los Angeles County, where she currently resides with her husband, Alex, 4 year old son, Gabriel, 2 year old daughter, Charlotte and dog, Roscoe.
