With experience in complex public infrastructure, transportation projects, and updates of governmental planning documents, Lisa Trifiletti is an expert in the field and leads the charge as our founder and principal. Her particular expertise lies in strategic land use, environmental, entitlements, real estate, transportation, project management, and governmental/public outreach consulting for both private sector development projects and governmental agencies.
Before founding the firm, Lisa climbed the ranks within LAWA (Los Angeles World Airports), ultimately becoming Deputy Executive Director of Environmental Programs. Originally hired to lead and complete the update plans and entitlements for 340 acres of LAX property, she oversaw Environmental Performance, Environmental Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Planning and Engineering, Entitlements, and Environmental Clearances for all projects at LAWA’s three airports and Palmdale land holdings, as well as the LAX Modernization Program. She also managed seventy-five professional staff and multiple consultant contracts and, as part of her position as Chief Sustainability Officer, served as key project manager responsible for inter-agency coordination with light rail construction projects near LAX. Notably, she helped lead the environmental clearance and entitlement approvals for the $5.5 billion-dollar LAX Landside Access Modernization Program.
She now remains involved with LAWA as strategic advisor, consulting on environmental clearance and sustainability work at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Burbank Airport. In addition, some of her other projects include developing the City of Inglewood’s long-range and near term transportation plans, the Sepulveda Pass Feasibility Study for Metro, the revitalization of the Vermont/Manchester area for the office of County Supervisor Ridley-Thomas, and serves as a strategic advisor to San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) on the SANDAG Airport Connectivity Study.
Before joining LAWA, Lisa began her career in the public sector working for Los Angeles Council District 5 as District Counsel and Chief Planning Deputy. Lisa graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, received her Master of Arts Degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College.
In addition to her firm leadership, Lisa currently serves on the board executive committee for New Economics for Women (NEW), a non-profit group working to improve housing and economic development for immigrants and low-income families throughout Southern California.
