    LA County library cards are free to permanent and temporary residents (it must be a county library, not a city public library). Residents can find an application online at www.colapublib.org and bring it into one of 85 local library branches with valid identification.  In addition to books, magazines, DVDs, music and eBooks, the county libraries offer computer and wireless Internet access.


    1.    Visit your nearest LA County Public Library
    2.    Bring photo ID and a piece of mail to confirm your residence
    3.    Apply for a card in-person and receive a PIN # (your library card number should start with “11117”)
    4.    Login through this portal and activate your membership immediately
